Giant Sand Waves at the Mouth of San Francisco Bay
A field of giant sand waves, among the largest in the world, recently was mapped by CICORE members.

5 fish companies charged with illegal dumping
Scientists at the Southern California Marine Institute linked the discharges by several seafood businesses to lowered oxygen levels in nearby water and the death of fish and other sea life. CICORE instrumentation, operated by CICORE members (Ocean Studies Institute and California State University Long Beach) provided the most detailed measurements of the hypoxia.
