Ten members have joined together for the CICORE project: 8 CSU campuses spread out along the 1200 mile California coastline and 2 non-CSU Members.
Each member plays a vital role in one or more of CICORE’s three core technologies to develop a distributed, yet integrated, coastal monitoring observatory.
In situ monitoring (ISM) at fixed locations provides a state-wide observatory of time-varying water quality measurements
Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) of benthic, shallow water and coastal environments
High-resolution seafloor bathymetry and habitat mapping (HRB)
